BOARD
OF DIRECTORS
The vision and overall direction of
GTSL is presently vested in a 6-man professional Board of Directors ofhigh integrity and repute, all of whom have distinguished themselves in their
respective chosen field of endeavour with excellent track record in the
successful management of business concerns. The Board is
composed of
the following persons:
Mr,
Rotimi Fashola Dip. (Admin); Dip. (Ins.) WAII, ACII (Lond), AClard Chairman
Fashola is a Chartered Insurer of over
20 yearsâ ™ experience. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing
from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is an Associate of
Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII), Associate Chartered Institute
of Arbitration (London), (ACI (Arb) and Associate Member, National Institute of
Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). He is an alumnus of the Global Institute for
Leadership Development (GILD), USA and a fellow of the West African Insurance
Institute (WAII), Institute of Directors (FIOD) and the Institute of Direct
Marketing (FIDM). He is a member of the Governing Council of the West African
Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) and a member of the Governing Council
(WAII) (Gambia). Before joining IGI in 1993, Fashola was the Chief Executive
Officer of Liberty Assurance Company Limited. He currently serves on the board
of many companies both local and abroad.
Mr,
Obalade, Adeyinka Emmanuel B. SC, MBA, FCA Vice
Chairman
Obalade is a Fellow of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is an accomplished banker with more than 20 yearsâ ™ experience. He
retired from the banking sector in 2005 as the Chief Executive of Global Bank
Limited and joined IGI. He oversees the
Account, Finance and Investment of the IGI Group. He also sits on the boards of
several companies.
Adedoyin
Adebambo Director
Mr. adedoyin Adebambo is a Director of
Global Trust Savings and Loans Limited. He has over 20 years professional
experience in the investment of insurance and pension funds in the money
market, capital market and real estate sector of the Nigeria economy as well as
international experience in the United States Exim Bank transactions and in
international financial instruments. Before joining Global Trust Savings and
Loans Limited as a Director in 2015, he had worked in Union Bank, Afribank (now
Mainstreet Bank), Industrial And General Insurance Plc, and was an Examiner of the Chartered
Institute of Bankers, Nigeria for many years. He has attended various local and
international training events. He is currently the Executive Director of IGI
Pension Fund Managers Limited and a Director on the Board of Moyofade
Microfinance Bank, Ejigbo, Osun State.
Obayomi
Lawal Director
Mr. Obayomi Lawal is a Director of
Global Trust Savings and Loans Limited. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Lawal is a thoroughbred professional accountant
who had a resourceful working experience in a reputable audit firm before
joining Industrial And General Insurance Plc and later rose to the position of
Group Director, Finance and Accounts. His responsibility as a Group Director
includes taking charge of the financial statements of all IGI subsidiaries. He
currently serves on the board of many companies in Nigeria and overseas.
Israel
Oluyemi Fatokun Managing Director/CEO
Mr Fatokun is a 1984 graduate of the
New York Institute of Technology, New York U.S.A where he obtained a B.SC (Bus
Admin, Marketing). He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in
Banking and Finance from Morgan state University, Baltimore Maryland U.S.A.
He is a Senior Honourary member,
Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN), Money Market Dealership Certificate,
Nigerian Interbank/CIBN dealership Certificate, Fellow, Chartered Institute of
Cost Management (CICM), an astute financial and Investment Banker Professional.
Mr Fatokun did his NYSC with the
Investment department of Great Nigeria Insurance Company Ltd. He began his
working career in 1990 with First City Merchant Bank Ltd. (Now First City
Monument Bank Plc) as a Management Trainee and rose to the Position of
Assistant Vice President. He was an Assistant General Manager with Trans
International Bank Plc in 1999, Senior Partner, Dudu Investment and Business Research
Company Ltd in 2001/2002.
He joined Industrial and General
Insurance Company Limited Group in 2002 as a Senior Manager and he was seconded
to Global Trust Savings And Loans Limited as the General Manager in April 2004
until August 2009. He was seconded back to the Head office of Industrial and
General Insurance Plc as an Assistant Director in the Finance and Investment
Department. In 2010, he moved to IGI Pension Fund Managers as the chief
Investment officer where he was until his present appointment as the Managing
Director and Chief Executive Officer of Global Trust savings and Loans Limited
